Fashion Rug Collection

Design by: Ksenia Stanishevski

Volver launches a new rug collection Fashion inspired by the haute couture icons. This fall, Volver introduces Plaid, drawing inspiration from Chanel and Frame, honoring the colorful elegance of Hermès.

Fashion and interior design are intertwined realms of creativity, both shaping how we express ourselves and experience the world. They share a deep connection through the use of color, pattern, and form, telling stories and evoking emotions. Just as fashion empowers us through what we wear, interior design enriches our surroundings, creating spaces that reflect our identity. Both disciplines draw from similar inspirations, blending the personal with the spatial, and reminding us that living beautifully is an art, where every detail contributes to a harmonious, inspired life.

Volver´s new rug collection Fashion explores and pays tribute to the icons of the Houte Couture such as Chanel, Hermes, Balenciaga, Dior, YSL and others. Studying their legacy, style, the way of thinking and creating opens a pandora box of creativity and personality. Therefore, the Fashion collection will be rolling out new designs regularly each season. All designs are by the founder Ksenia Stanishevski, inspired by the masters.

We open this “catwalk” with a celebration of Chanel with Plaid design, inspired by the iconic plaid pattern. And Frame rug design, combining subtle intricate pattern with bold signature colors.

PLAID
Plaid is associated with Chanel brand, although it is originally a traditional Scottish pattern. Chanel's use of the plaid pattern traces back to the 1920s when Coco Chanel, influenced by her time in Scotland, incorporated Scottish tweeds and plaids into her collections. She reimagined these traditionally masculine fabrics into elegant, comfortable women's fashion, with the plaid tweed suit becoming iconic. Karl Lagerfeld, who took over Chanel in 1983, revived and modernized plaid, experimenting with colors, textures, and proportions, ensuring its continued relevance. Today, plaid remains a staple in Chanel's collections, symbolizing the brand's blend of tradition and innovation in fashion.

Volver seeks to reinvent this fashion iconic pattern with a new twist of pattern gradients, playing with the variations of the plaid elements. The rug also has architectural quality with horizontal and vertical orientation, making it easily suitable for modern minimalistic interiors. Volver preserves the textural quality of Chanel´s plaid textiles, combining both an open pile in bamboo silk and a loop pile in various woolen yarn shades.

FRAME
Frame design is inspired by the essence of Hermes brand, its commitment to timeless luxury, understated elegance, distinctive range of colors and meticulous attention to detail.

In our Frame design we study the brand´s cultivation of exclusivity and discretion, choosing subtlety over ostentation. While deeply rooted in tradition, Hermes has a fresh color range, combining earthy tones with iconic Hermes orange. It´s signature colors like Rouge Hermes (deep red) and Bleu Jean (light blue) are enhanced by luxurious material used.

In Frame design we use a subtle intricate pattern in three layers of color. Abstraction and geometry make this pattern purely ornamental, focusing on color, form and symmetry to create a visually striking piece.

The background colors are grounded and natural, like earthy green, deep blue, camel brown and old rose, reflective of the outdoor style. The signature border in iconic Hermes colors makes a bold statement, adding innovation to the rug´s more traditional casual elegance. The colors, attention to detail and craftmanship are enhanced by the luxurious materials used such as pure wool and bamboo silk and textures of open pile and loop.

CUSTOMIZATION
Both designs are available in several color options and all standard rug sizes. The designs are also customizable in size and shape. Other colors options are possible and curated carefully by Ksenia Stanishevski in accordance with the respective haute couture references.
