Timeless Warmth: Interior Reinvention of a Modern Meeting Center
In 2022, Romlaboratoriet was commissioned to transform a meeting center just outside Oslo into an inviting and functional space for collaboration, reflection, and connection. The goal was to create interiors that felt generous, sculptural, and timeless—where contemporary architecture meets tactile warmth.
“In response to the modern and strict architecture, we worked with soft and rounded shapes, colors, and materials. There was a strong focus on flexibility and long-term durability. “ – says Ingrid.
Carefully curated new furniture and rugs were chosen for their high quality, enduring design, and environmental consideration—while numerous existing pieces were thoughtfully reused.
Volver’s handcrafted rugs played a vital role in this transformation. With their tactility, craftsmanship, and warmth, they helped anchor the interiors, adding softness, sophistication, and visual rhythm. Each piece was selected to harmonize with the space while enhancing its distinct identity.
The final result is a warm, professional, and welcoming environment that surprises and inspires—with Volver’s design language woven seamlessly into its DNA.
