The “Echoes” Rug Collection
Echoes is a poetic rug collection by Kristine Five Melvær, inspired by the layers of life and the memories we carry. The collection consists of three handtufted, sculptural designs, each available in three color combinations. Through geometry, texture, and color, the floor is transformed into a landscape of memory, presence, and legacy.
Melvær draws inspiration from her own life journey, relationships, and meaningful places. With Echoes, personal narratives are woven into universal expressions — a collection that unites craftsmanship, history, and contemporary design.

Creation Process
The development of the collection has been a meticulous process, involving hand-drawn sketches, vector-based illustrations, embroidered samples, paper models, and tufted prototypes. Through this fusion of research, craftsmanship, and artistic expression and close dialog with the founder of Volver Ksenia Stanishevski, Kristine has created a collection that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
